    Demo Being Fast may not be the most efficient

    I was watching a demo of Western Digital's energy efficient intelliseek technology where the drive's power consumption and vibration are reduced by moving the read head to be in position just in time.

    How much inefficiency is caused by software trying to execute as fast as possible?
